This course is delivered online, with all workbooks and bonus guides available to download to ensure lifetime access. We’ll begin by noting your current skills, interests and experience and discussing the travel industry in its current state. An overview of where travel photographers fit in the current landscape of publications, marketing and content creation.

Module 02 – Gear, Gadgets and Your Portfolio

Portfolio development tips, what you need to showcase as a travel photographer, plus suggested gear and gadgets that make your life easier as a travel photographer.

Module 03 – Storytelling and Finding Your Niche

Crafting stories with your images, defining your style as a photographer and where your niche may be within the travel/tourism industry.

Module 04 – The Logistics of Remote Working, Location Scouting + Planning

Getting a job is one thing, planning the logistics and delivering on it is another. We'll delve into logistics and weather forecasting, planning, working with light and all the possibilities for working remotely and creating habits to build a sustainable freelance career and lifestyle.

Module 05 – Working with Clients

This week we’ll work through how to deliver files to your clients, file formats, achieving consistency within your editing and what to expect in terms of client budgets and pricing your services as a travel photographer.

Module 06 – Publications + Pitching

The exciting topics most people will be looking forward to! We’ll be going through the pitching process from researching relevant publications to crafting your first pitch (or perfecting them if you’ve pitched before!).
